In the stillness

In the stillness here I lay,
a day gone by and lost to grey.
fill one leak another sprays,
it seems my life has seeped away.

Tired broken battered bleeding,
take a breath and stop repeating,
sharpened moments turned to fleeting,
how they hurt us so.

In between the silence grasp,
a chance to let the feeling pass,
find the channel to my past,
then let the music flow.

Little notes drop from above,
let them kiss me just because,
they speak to me of naught but love,
and soothe my weary soul.
